Born in Hamilton , and resides in Stoney Creek . A stay-at-home mom for 12 years she is employed as a Secretary/Receptionist by MD Management Limited, which is owned by the Canadian Medical Association.

Prior to working for MD Management she was on the board of Stoney Creek Little League Baseball, the board of Lois Laxton Dance Studios Auxiliary, the parents' and school councils of Stoney Creek Collegiate Avenue School and she has also been involved with the Canadian Thunderbirds Elite Baseball Club's CAN/AM tournament for the past 10 years.

Mary-Beth, who is in her third year as Administrator for the Hamilton Thunderbirds of the Intercounty Baseball League has three children, Matthew- age 20, Joshua - age 18 and Kayla - age 15 all of whom have participated in baseball, basketball, curling, bowling and dance.
